Exhaust emissions testing
- R&D work to reduce emissions of harmful exhausts gas components and fuel consumption
- Legislative chassis dyno testing as per EURO 6d, WLTP, US EPA/CARB and Japanese standards, for all powertrain types (conventional, hybrid, electric)
- Advanced measurement of engine emissions and vehicle operating parameters over a wide range of driving cycles and driving conditions, at a wide range of ambient temperatures
- Emission testing at low and sub-zero ambient temperatures
- Modal analyses of diluted and undiluted exhaust gas for harmful compounds; analysis of unregulated emissions, hydrocarbon speciation, etc.
- Emission testing from vehicles powered by liquid fuels, gaseous fuels, and biofuels, including for plug-in hybrids (PHEV)
- Emission testing of solid particles by the gravimetric method and PN particle number measurements, as well as exhaust gas opacity, size distribution and soot concentration measurements

Within the Regional Operational Programme for Silesian Voivodeship 2007-2013, BOSMAL implements a project entitled “Centre of Competence for automotive propulsion system development”

Within the sectoral programme INNOMOTO (measure 1.2 “Sectoral R&D Programmes” within the Operational Programme Smart Growth 2014-2020), BOSMAL (as a member of consortium with FSE) participates in realization of project entitled Development of electric city commercial vehicle with innovative energy management system
- Development of ecological transport solutions in urbanized space. Development of a comprehensive offer of electric vehicles, using EMS (Energy Management System).
Within the Electric Mobility Europe (EMEurope) programme (co-funded by the European Commission as part of the ERA-NET Cofund scheme under Horizon 2020 Programme for EU funding programme for research and innovation) BOSMAL participates in realization of the E-TRACT project covering development of an electric bus with up to 20 seats
