Clean Diesel Technologies develops SCR NOx control system
Clean Diesel Technologies, Stamford, CT, has signed a cooperative technology development agreement with Engelhard Corporation, of Iselin, NJ, and Nalco Fuel Tech of Naperville, IL. The agreement calls for the final stage development of an urea-based Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system to reduce NOx emissions from industrial engines. Engine performance testing and system optimization will be conducted at Engelhard's Union, NJ, laboratory.
Under the agreement, Clean Diesel and Nalco will be supplying the urea-based reagents and the metering and injection systems, while Engelhard will provide the SCR catalyst and reactor.
