US DOE announces the 6th Diesel Engine Emissions Reduction Workshop—DEER 2000
16 June 2000
The US Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy has announced the 6th Diesel Engine Emissions Reduction Workshop - DEER 2000. The workshop will be held on August 20-24, 2000, at the Hyatt Islandia Hotel in San Diego's Mission Bay. This year the California Energy Commission (CEC) will jointly sponsor the workshop with the US Department of Energy.
With the recent increase in concerns about diesel engine emissions, this is a particularly appropriate time for the workshop to provide a forum for a technical update on the emerging diesel engine emissions reduction technologies. The core sessions will address emission control systems for diesel exhaust emissions reduction, the light truck clean diesel engine development program, and exhaust gas energy utilization as well as a summary of the fuels and lubes situation.
