Diesel sessions planned for the 2002 North American Mine Ventilation Symposium

For those with specific interest on diesel emissions and control technology in underground mining environment, two technical sessions on diesel emissions and a specialized diesel workshop are planned during the 2002 Mine Ventilation Symposium.
Organized by the Underground Mine Ventilation Committee of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME), the North American / 9th US Mine Ventilation Symposium will be held at Queen’s University, June 08-12, 2002 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Highlights of the Symposium include four technical workshops, a technical program with 120 paper presentations, poster sessions, a trade show of mine ventilation, emissions control and health and safety products, a social program including a dinner cruise of the Thousand Islands and a dinner banquet, a field trip to state-of-the-art underground mines in Ontario, and a special presentation on the Westray Mine Disaster.
