AVL receives contract for EPA calibration standards lab

AVL North America has announced a contract from the US EPA’s National Vehicle and Fuel Emission Laboratory (NVEFL) to supply and install an advanced gas measurement, analysis and sampling system. The maximum potential value of the contract is $453,255.
The new lab will support the NVEFL’s role inthe standardization of emission measurements. The NVEFL is a national laboratory for the measurement of regulated emissions and energy consumption related to the transportation sector.
AVL will be providing combined analytical (Pierburg analyzers), data acquisition and database system (AVL’s GEM-110 software) to establish and document the official concentration, and NIST traceability, of internal gas standards and challenge standards. EPA has named this system the Gas Laboratory Analysis System.
