NYSERDA announcing $1,300,000 clean diesel technology solicitation
6 October 2006
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) announced a $1,300,000 solicitation, PON 944, seeking proposals to support the development, demonstration, and commercialization of innovative, energy-efficient, clean diesel and environmental technologies. Two categories are sought:
- Category A: Clean Diesel Technology Development—The focus of this category is on heavy duty engines in end-use sectors including off-road (construction, locomotive, marine), on-road, and stationary generator technology. These products/systems may include: exhaust aftertreatment devices; sensors/instrumentation; control systems; engine modifications; and fuel additives. Fail-safe pollution controls that do not impair equipment function should be an integral factor in technology development.
- Category B: Environmental Product and Process Technology Development—This category applies to a broad range of applications including but not limited to: drinking and process water treatment; industrial wastewater treatment; municipal wastewater treatment; solid and hazardous waste management including agricultural wastes; sludge and process residuals management; recovery, reuse and recycling of manufactured products; brownfield site remediation; contaminated sediment dredge material management; mobile and stationary air pollution control; as well as advanced instrumentation, sensors and pollution monitoring devices for constituents of interest found in air, water and soil.
Proposals are due by Tuesday, 15 November 2005.
