HEINZMANN acquires majority share in CPK Automotive

HEINZMANN Group has announced the acquisition of the Münster, Germany-based CPK Automotive GmbH & Co. KG. CPK became a member of the HEINZMANN Group effective from October 1st, 2013. Financial terms were not disclosed.

CPK, established in 1966, has specialized in the development of environmental solutions, chiefly in the field of automotive technology. The main line of CPK business is the development and production of systems for monitoring and controlling the aftertreatment of engine exhaust gases.

In their business strategy, CPK focused on the development of devices that can be retrofitted to diesel engines.

HEINZMANN—a worldwide supplier of engine and turbine management solutions—specializes in mechanical and electronic speed control systems for diesel, gas and dual fuel engines, and for turbines. With this acquisition, HEINZMANN strengthened their portfolio in the field of diesel engine management, said the company.

The CPK brand will continue to exist and will be distributed through the HEINZMANN worldwide dealer network, as well as through the existing CPK network.
