Nett VorTEQ DPF receives California verification
31 March 2014
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) has conditionally verified Nett Technologies’ VorTEQ™ 100 Active Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) as a Level 3 Plus actively regenerated diesel emission control system. The verification is applicable to selected off-road diesel engines between 65 and 175 hp, certified to PM emission levels of 0.26 g/kWh (0.20 g/bhp-hr) or less.
Nett VorTEQ 100 DPF uses a non-catalyzed DPF and a diesel fuel burner for regeneration. The DPF system includes an electronic controller with a display mounted in the operators’ cabin that alerts the operator when a regeneration of the DPF is required. The controller is also recording several operating parameters of the system, as per the ARB verification requirements.
The VorTEQ DPF system comes with 5 year/ 4,200 hour warranty coverage, in accordance with the ARB verification requirements.
Conditional verifications can be issued for emission control systems that successfully completed 33% of the required 1000 hour durability demonstration period. Full verification is issued once the entire durability demonstration period is completed.
