Call for papers: 20th ETH Conference on Combustion Generated Nanoparticles
15 January 2016
The 20th ETH Conference on Combustion Generated Nanoparticles that will be held on June 13-16, 2016 in Zürich, Switzerland, has issued a Call for Papers. Abstracts are invited for oral and poster presentations on the following conference topics:
- Ambient air particles
- Aircraft and airports
- Biomass combustion (co-organized by task 32 of IEA Bioenergy)
- Environmental impact and global warming
- Health effects
- Legislation, certification and enforcement
- Emission control of gasoline engines
- Nanoparticle formation
- Non-road and stationary sources
- Particle filtration technologies
- Secondary emissions
- Source apportionment
- UFP metrology
The conference will be opened by Prof. Dr. Lino Guzzella, President of the ETH Zürich. Invited keynote speaker is Giovanni D’Urbano, Head of Traffic Section, FOEN. His talk is entitled “Looking back to 20 years of filter technology in Switzerland”.
The conference will include a Focus Event: Particle Filter Quality under Real World Conditions, where particulate filter experience will be presented by Dr. Alberto Ayala, California ARB, and by filter and engine manufacturers. The conference will also include a Health Session that will provide new experimental and epidemiological results about health effects of environmental air pollution with focus on ultrafine particles.
Best abstracts and best poster presentations will be awarded with a conference prize. Presenters at the conference will be invited to submit full length papers for publication in a special issue of the journal “Emission Control Science and Technology”.
Presentation abstracts will be accepted until April 2, 2016. As in previous years, the conference will include an exhibition. Exhibitors should apply as soon as possible, as exhibiting space is limited.
