Proventia and Excalibre launch Euro VI retrofit system in the UK
22 September 2016
Proventia Emission Control Oy and their UK partner Excalibre Technologies announced the launch of the NOxBUSTER® City DPF + SCR retrofit system in the UK. The system can be used to upgrade Euro IV, V and EEV vehicles to Euro VI emissions, to meet the ULEZ and Clean Air Zone requirements. Proventia will supply the technology and components and Excalibre will provide the installation and servicing of the systems. Excalibre is also responsible for sales and marketing of the products to UK customers.
The technology is now on trial on hybrid buses in London. The NOxBUSTER® City exceeded the TfL retrofit specification on chassis dynamometer testing over the MLTB cycle.
The system, already in use in Scandinavia, has been tested by independent organizations on a chassis dynamometer (WHVC cycle) and in real world driving using PEMS equipment. In each case, the vehicle’s emissions met the Euro VI emission standard.
Each vehicle is also fitted with the PROCARE™ Drive, a web-based clean air fleet management tool that remotely monitors the performance of the aftertreatment system and the vehicle’s emissions.
Excalibre Technologies are a supplier of commercial vehicle exhaust and emission control systems. Excalibre and Proventia have previously cooperated on the retrofit of over 350 Euro III Trident and Dart buses to the Euro V standard.
