SAE Heavy-Duty Diesel Symposium coming back in May 2023
3 September 2022
SAE International announced the SAE Heavy-Duty Diesel Symposium is coming back next year.
Join us at the Heavy-Duty Diesel Sustainable Transport Symposium in Gothenburg, Sweden on May 3-4, 2023, at the Chalmers Conference Centre.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with experts from the global heavy-duty diesel powertrain industry who understand the current and future challenges upon them. The SAE Heavy-Duty Diesel Sustainable Transport Symposium program—created by engineers for engineers—will provide pertinent regulatory insight, state-of-the-art technical developments, first-hand experiences relating to heavy duty diesel emission control strategies, engine and after-treatment systems, and integration. In addition, it will enlighten attendees on the future direction of the industry.
The Symposium technical committee is now planning the 2023 technical program. Sessions topics include: regulatory updates, CO2 challenge, ultra low NOx (engine & catalyst), OEM update, future propulsion, electrification, catalysts, impact of different fuels, and other topics of importance to the industry.

The HDD Symposium, then-called Heavy-Duty Diesel Emissions Control Symposium, has been a biennial event last held in 2018. The events planned for 2020 and for 2021 were canceled due to Covid-related lockdowns and restrictions. DieselNet reported on the HDD Symposium held in 2018 as well as in 2016.
