Nonroad Low Load Cycle (Nonroad LLC)
The Nonroad Low Load Cycle is an engine dynamometer test developed at the SwRI for the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for use in Tier 5 emission standards for nonroad engines. The cycle was developed based on real world application cycles and represents nonroad equipment operation with low engine loads and extended idling.
The Nonroad LLC cycle duration is 4570 seconds and the average power is about 8-10% of the engine maximum power. While not shown in Figure 1, the idle load is 3.5% of the maximum engine power.
